Pathway to Hibernation trail to Cotehele Mill.

2nd October, 2021 - 20th November, 2021

Walk through the woods between the quay and the Mill and look out for the six animals preparing to hibernate there. As you go, collect twigs, sticks, rocks and leaves to add to our brand new bug hotel and habitat pile at Cotehele Mill.

Available from Saturday 2 October – Saturday 20 November, 10am-4pm

Some animals hibernate over the winter, this means that they go into a very deep, sleep-like state to preserve energy.
Follow the path through the woods to learn about all the different animals that hibernate and what they need to do to prepare.
As you go, collect twigs, sticks, rocks and leaves to add to our collection at the Mill. These will be used to fill up our brand new bug hotel and habitat pile.

The trail starts by the Morden bridge at the beginning of the path to Cotehele Mill. The path can get muddy so make sure you wear your wellies or walking boots!

Avoid picking up natural piles of sticks or leaves as these may already be being used by wildlife.
