Dinosaur Week at Flambards May Half Term

It’s Dinosaur Week at Flambards, Helston, this May Half Term. From 28 May – 5 June journey into the Jurassic for a day full of family fun.

Explore a prehistoric-themed landscape, home to more than a dozen different dinosaurs ranging from a metre-long baby stegosaurus to giant triceratops. You will also be able to spot giant dinosaur eggs, baby dinosaurs and even a nest of pteranodon hatchlings.  The special hatchery has a host of baby dinos, emerging from their eggs and look out for a group of troublesome baby velociraptors on the hunt for prey.

Try your hand at fossil hunting in the Dino Dig where you can uncover fossilised remains including the remains of a young tyrannosaurus rex.

Meet some live creatures with links to our prehistoric ancestors from reptiles to raptors on 29 May and 2 June with Flambards Creepy Crawly Wild Animal Show.

Perfect for thrill-seekers, all the rides and exhibitions will be open throughout the May Half Term week. Take a spin on the SkySwinger, check out the amazing views from the top of SkyRaker - the drop, twisting rider, brave the Thunderbolt or dare you journey on the dark ride - Space Race and prepare to get wet on the Colorado log flume!

Traditional family fun is guaranteed on the Carousel and Teacup rides as well as the Cornwall Eye and Balloon Race.

There’s loads of undercover soft play for little ones, plus outdoor adventure play, a hands on science zone with laser maze, disorientation tunnel and more to fascinate and plenty of cool stuff for kids in Ferdi’s Funland.

Enjoy a free 7 day return for more family fun throughout the half term with each full priced ticket.

DINOSAUR QUIZ TRAIL at Paradise Park

Just like birds, many dinosaurs had feathers and laid eggs!

In between meeting the birds in the aviaries and at the free flying shows you can explore the grounds on your own dinosaur expedition. Search for the dinosaurs and their eggs, answer all the questions and we will award you our special ‘Paradise Park Professor of Palaeontology’ certificate and your own mini model dinosaur!”

You will be able to enjoy all the daily activities including the Eagles of Paradise Display (weather permitting), Carrot Time in the Fun Farm, twice daily Penguin feeding times, the indoor JungleBarn and much more.

The Otter Pool Cafe offers light lunches including homemade specials, local pasties, a wonderful selection of cakes and Cornish cream teas – plus for the Dinosaurs in Paradise event there will be kids’ lunchboxes with a dinosaur theme.

The Poop Trail at Paradise Park - Whitsun Half Term

Posted on Thursday 2nd June, 2016

Animals come in all different shapes and sizes and so does their poo! Here is your opportunity to get the scoop on the poop with Paradise Parks fun and educational Whitsun ‘Poop Trail’.

You can learn how animals and birds use poop to define territory, establish status, find mates, build houses, and keep in touch with the rest of the species. Poop is also an ideal way of studying an animal without having to capture it… now that’s nifty!

So this Whitsun Half Term come and sniff out the clues and look out for piles of info on this fun and educational trail.

Once you have completed the Poop Trail, you can claim your official ‘Paradise Park Professor of Poop’ Certificate which will recognise your excellence in this field!

Visit www.paradisepark.org.uk for more events throughout the year.
