Enjoy a feast of vintage and atmospheric steam with trains running on Sunday 27th, Monday 28th, Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31st December, and EVEN New Year's Day, Friday 1st January.

Monday 28th December is the annual Winter Steam Up with three locomotives in steam, and an intensive timetable of ten departures from Bodmin General between 1000 and 1610 hours. Followers of all things Great Western will be pleased to see 0-6-0 Pannier tanks no's 4612 and 6435 performing alongside 2-8-0 tank no. 4247. The Red Panda Experience launched for Christmas at Paradise Park!

Would you like to meet a Red Panda up close?

This fantastic special face to face meet and greet with two young Red Pandas called ‘Rusty’ and ‘Scarlet’ is being launched just in time to make an ideal Christmas present.

You can buy this amazing experience for a loved one or friend and will receive an ‘Experience Certificate’ to give as a present on Christmas Day. This can then be redeemed when they to book their experience for a selected date between 11th January and 31st March 2016.

The thirty minute experience starts with meeting the Keepers and preparing food for the pandas. Then you go with the Keepers in to the enclosure to feed and interact with the beautiful Red Pandas – so don’t forget your camera!

You can then enjoy the Park for that day and before you leave you will receive a certificate as a memento of your experience.

The cost for this amazing experience is £150 and this includes a donation of £50 to the Red Panda Network http://redpandanetwork.org . This organisation is committed to the conservation of wild Red Pandas and their habitat through the education and empowerment of local communities.

Make your child’s Christmas special with a visit to see Santa in his magical grotto.

He’s making a list, and checking it twice, going to find out who’s naughty and nice!”

Yes Santa Claus is coming to town, and he will be with his assistant fairy or elf in their cosy sitting room grotto at Paradise Park from 12noon to 2pm on  Saturday and Sundays 5th & 6th, 12th & 13th then from Friday 18th right through to the 24th December! £4.50 each child including gift. Discounted entry to the Park available.

To top it all off you can enjoy tasty turkey and cranberry sauce hot panini rolls which will be available in the Otter Pool Cafe.

When you visit Santa, discounted entry to the Park is available, and please ask about special dates for playgroups.

We will also be running a 20% discount in the Gift Shop in December (excluding World Parrot Trust items) so if you are looking for something a little different as a Christmas present, pop in and see what goodies we have on offer. And there’s FREE parking!

Discount Afternoon Play in the JungleBarn at Paradise Park

During the winter it gets too dark to look around the Park in the late afternoon (main Park closes at 3pm), but you can still come in to the JungleBarn to play and take advantage of the facilities with plenty of seating, newspapers and the snack bar. Discount Afternoon Play Time is from 3pm to 6pm and costs just £4.99 per child, and £3.99 per adult. This offer is also available after 3pm on weekends.

And remember to buy a Return Ticket for just £3.50 which is valid for your next visit before 20th March 2016. In fact you can save money and keep buying the Return Tickets each time you visit all through until our winter season ends on 20th March 2016. If you want to visit regularly you may find it even cheaper to buy a Season Ticket with unlimited entry all year.
