Join Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions

Our focus is to work in partnership with each other to ensure all Cornwall visitors have a high quality experience when they visit any of our attractions.  We represent individual attractions, both large and small, but we also know that all are stronger together. Through our supportive network, tourist attractions can help each other to thrive.

Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions is a unified band of tourism experts, promoting relationships based on cooperation and mutual respect. We promote our members through our own marketing and by facilitating cooperative marketing within the group. In this way, we’re able to open doors to new audiences for each attraction, and embark on collaborative campaigns and partnerships.

With a membership base including tourism professionals, marketeers and visitor experience experts, CATA has a wealth of knowledge at its fingertips.

Through networking events and meetings, we’re able to connect members and encourage knowledge sharing, whether this is best practice guidance, supplier recommendations or simple peer-to-peer support.

Collectively, we’re also raising standards and forming a voice for quality attractions in Cornwall. As a long-established association, formed in 1974, we’re an authority on the tourism sector and believe passionately in creating and promoting superior experiences.

How to join

In order to become a member, you would need to fill in a membership form, available from our marketing team.  Upon receipt of this form, our Marketing and Membership Manager would arrange an informal visit to talk through our inspection process. You will then receive an inspection to ensure the attraction means the standard required for CATA membership.

The quality inspection team is made up of three or four peers from the Association and a member of Visit Cornwall.  Once the inspection has been passed, new members should be voted into membership at our October General Meeting.
