About Charlestown Shipwreck Centre
CHARLESTOWN SHIPWRECK AND HERITAGE CENTRE: Located above The Historic Port of Charlestown, visitors see first-hand the endeavours men and woman were moved to in order to conquer the sea, the museum also shows a unique insight into the history of Charlestown. Showcasing one of the largest private collections of shipwreck artefacts in Europe. Explore underground tunnels once used to load ships with clay and secret stashes of rum (some say the tunnels are patrolled BY A GHOST? come and find out for yourself).
Guided tours are available for organised parties booked in advance. Tours will highlight some of the best artefacts in there, including exhibits like the human torpedo of which there is only one left in the world.
There is a newly a stocked shop at the end of your visit with produce and souvenirs from around Cornwall. We are also hugely proud to stock unique items from the Greyhound, a vessel by sail that travels around Europe selling high quality food goods.

Great new restaurant above called Lovedays. Affordable and child friendly. Why not end the visit on a coffee, something to eat or something stronger?
